English poet Walter de la Mare

Design considerations

The site is designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind. Elementary school children are learning to read both text and icons and images. Both are used extensively on the internet. In our technology classes students learn about visual literacy or the "ability to interpret, negotiate, and make meaning from information presented in the form of an image." While images are used, every effort has been made to implement the accessibility features of CSS.
