Bowdoin College is hosting Maine Day on Monday, September 30th from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm! Each year they invite Maine high school students to visit their campus and explore the Bowdoin experience. During the day, students can take a tour of the campus,
hear from a panel of Maine students, grab a meal in the dining hall,
and learn what it's like to attend Bowdoin!
Interested students and families can register for the day by going to

Please reach out to their Maine admissions officers with any questions: Kathryn Stegeman (

The BackPack Program provides school-age students experiencing food insecurity enrolled in the Gorham School Department with healthy snacks and staple meal items helpful to your family for the weekend. We aim to provide food that is child-friendly, non-perishable, and easily consumed; and to distribute the weekly bag discreetly, with the help of school staff. Food bags will be distributed TO STUDENTS while they are in school once a week. In addition, participants will receive 1 snack per day while they are at school.

Congratulations to our boys and girls cross country team who won the Laliberte Invitational this past Friday afternoon in Augusta. It is a meet that combines and scores the boys and girls performances, and our Gorham Rams came away the victors!

Happy first day of school! Reminder that we start the day in advisory. Also, students who want to get food from the cafeteria need their student id cards. Pro tip: take a picture of your id card in case you forget it or lose it. See you soon!

Thank you to the Gorham High School Class of 1974 who celebrated 50 years this past weekend by stopping by GHS for a tour and to donate two beautiful benches, a tree, and $500 for a scholarship for a future GHS graduate. Such a generous and thoughtful class!
